ORGANIZATIONAL BOARDING SCHOOLS

A. ORGANIZATION 
1. DEFINITION 
Before discussing more about the definition of organization, first need to know what is called the definition. In defining the definition, there are three things to note: 
  1. Determining the class of a good.
  2. The difference of the goods with other goods that one group with it.
  3. Must show essential attributes , main characteristics, main traits are class / similar similarities and differences.
In other things to note is the requirements in determining the definition. 
Terms of definition include; 


  1. As much as the brief, do not be too broad and too narrow.
  2. Must not circular or spin.
  3. Must be general or general.
  4. Must not use metaphors, like, figurative words, depictions, obscurated words, using supernatural or vague words.
  5. Can not use negative sentences.

So the definition definition is Determining the exact boundaries of a word, law or understanding. 

Back to the material context, gradually try to understand what is called an organization.The most worthy of a universally applicable definition is the experts. 

Definition of organization by Experts; 

a. George R. Terry 
Organizing is building effective behavioral relationships between people so that they can work together efficiently and can generate personal satisfaction in performing tasks chosen under given environmental conditions to achieve some objective objectives. 

b. Louis A. Allen 
We can define the Organization as a process of identifying and relating the grouping of work to be done, defining and delegating responsibility and authority, and building goals that enable people to work together effectively in achieving goals. 

c. James D. Mooney 
Organization is the form of every human association for the achievement of common goals. 

d. According to the Presenter (Rahmat Al Kafi) 
Organization is a place of gathering and gathering of people who have the same taste (fate, blood, hobbies, passion, ideology, etc.) who then proceed to strive to achieve goals agreed organically or individually. 2. OBJECTIVE 
Organizational goals will be organized in accordance with the field of motion of the organization. On the other hand, what needs to be understood is what is the purpose of the individual in organizing or following an organization. When we observe, the general purpose among others; 

  • Want to develop yourself.
  • Because according to the hobby or the hobby.
  • Same with the ideology or understanding that it carries.
  • Want to have many friends / wide network.
  • Want to be a famous person. (nice image)
  • Want to continue the struggle of previous people (friends, relatives, parents etc.)
  • Want to have a lot of knowledge (master) (according to the organization in follow).

  • Join a friend.
  • Trying.
  • And many more (reflect on your own).


3. FUNCTIONS 
In achieving the goals and objectives of the organization, there are 4 (four) organizational functions that need attention, related to organizational management, namely: 
a. Planning (planning) 
It is related to the planning within the organization such as plans that try to be prepared by the organizers of the organization, such as work plans or activities and the necessary budget, the technical implementation can be agreed through meetings, such as: 
- Board Meetings or Member Meetings that discuss about the board's work plans and member activities to be undertaken with one or more targets to be achieved. And also need to determine how much budget required to support the work of the organization or for anevent / activity form in the form of proposal activities. 

b. Organizing (setting) 
In terms of setting, elements that need to be noticed & realized are: 
- Organizational structure that is able to show how the relationship ( relationship ) work between organizations / section / section with one another. 
Job Description ( Job Description ) that is able to explain the task of each section / section. 
- Form of Coordination between parts of the organization (eg Coordination Meeting between sections, Board Meetings, Member Meetings, etc.) 
- Archives & Inventory Organizations (organization administration) should be well organized, such as: incoming mail, outgoing mail, reports, outgoing proposals, member data, activity documentation, AD / ART, GBHK, attendance, meeting results, inventory owned, inventory circulation, financial circulation books etc. 
- 
c. Actuating 
Moving ( actuating ) according to Terry which means to stimulate group members to perform tasks with enthusiasm and good will. According to Keith Davis, actuating is the ability to persuade people to reach their determined goals with passion. 

Its concrete form is: 
- Mobilize members to be consistent in carrying out organizational plans 
- Realization of work programs that have been mutually agreed upon 

d. Control (supervision) 
The duties of the organization or the leader / organizers of the organization that should not be missed is to supervise the activities of the organization or the realization of activities and the use of the budget. 
Supervision here is also intended to supervise the personal condition of members.(attitude, behavior, Conflict etc.) 

4. TERMS 
Four conditions of organizational life. 

  • Existence. (Must exist)
  • Adactive. (Able to adapt to the environment or the times)
  • Survive. (Surviving / resisting external intervention)
  • Dynamic. (Able to develop and innovate).

In the organizational structure of boarding school above, both simple and comprehensive there are things that need to be considered in preparing the division of tasks and authority within an organization. This matter as also has been explained in Guidance of Development of Pondok Pesantren as follows:
1. The grouping of work into organizational units is based on the similarity of the nature of the performance of their respective duties.
2. Eliminating a single and complete function for each organizational unit by emphasizing the achievement of an integrated activity.
3. Emphasize coordination on the part of work and implementation of activities within the whole organization.
4. Placing important key functions and tasks at appropriate organizational level, as well as equivalent functions at the same level.
5. Provide opportunities for reasonable expansion of activities through existing organizational units.
6. Determine the command line and organizational responsibilities through line and staff command line (MoRA RI, 1988: 25).
With good organization, the execution of work and the implementation of pesantren planning will get the right parts. Determination of the people is done objectively in accordance with the ability in their respective fields. Organization serves as a tool of management to achieve the goals expected by a pesantren.
